About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. This role involves assessing vehicle concerns, coordinating repairs with technicians, preparing detailed repair orders, and providing clear and professional communication to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive mechanics, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently coordinate service operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in an automotive service advisor or similar role preferred.
Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair processes.
Basic knowledge of automotive parts and supplies.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with service management software.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, service managers, and other team members.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or business training is a plus.
Valid USVI driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Greet and consult with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
Prepare and present detailed repair orders, including descriptions of issues, required repairs, estimated costs, and timelines.
Coordinate with auto technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
Clearly explain technical automotive information to customers in easy-to-understand terms.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services performed and to build long-term relationships.
Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and proactively.
Schedule service appointments and manage work order flow to optimize efficiency.
Order necessary parts and ensure timely availability for repairs.
Assist with billing procedures, process payments, and maintain accurate service records.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
Ensure a clean, organized, and customer-friendly service environment.
