Knudtsen Chevrolet is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join the Knudtsen family. Knudtsen is a family-owned and operated company that provides the community with new and used cars, a full-service body shop and service department,as well as Genuine GM Parts. Salary: $50,000 to $250,000 (This is a commission position, pay is dependent on performance.) Summary of Position As an Automotive Sales Associate, you will be responsible for selling new and used cars in accordance with dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. You will be a direct representative of Knudtsen in the market and vital in creating and maintaining lifelong customer relationships. Thus, you will be held to high ethical standards. Continuing product, process, and service specific training will be provided.

Requirements

  • A team player focused on providing ethical, exemplary customer service.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers, basic software, and Internet, and ability to learn database management and customer relationship software.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
  • Also subject to random drug testing at the company's request.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to all customers.
  • Determine customer needs, perform vehicle walk-arounds, and take customers on test-drives to set up for a successful sale.
  • Fully explain product performance, application, and benefits to customers.
  • Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Write complete paperwork according to dealership standards, work with sales manager to close deal, and turn all closed deals and paperwork over to the Finance Department.
  • Deliver vehicle to customer, ensuring the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customer to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available.
  • Maintain prospect development and owner follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business. Additionally, follow up on all post-delivery items.
  • Complete required training and keep up-to-date on new products, features, accessories, etc. and the consumer benefit.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
