Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dealership accounting experience
  • Prior experience reconciling accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of math and accounting.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to lift 5-10 lbs. unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • CDK experienced a plus.
  • Decision HR/Worklio experience a plus.
  • Great Customer Service.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; etc., from time sheets and other records.
  • Updates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, etc., and data concerning compensation increases, promotions and/or transfer of employees between departments.
  • Computes wages and deductions, reviews for accuracy and posts to payroll records.
  • Prepares and issues payroll/direct deposits with Decision HR.
  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  • Prepares/files all hiring and termination paperwork.
  • Maintains records for vacations and sick-day eligibility.
  • Processes all employee insurance forms and insurance payments in coordination with Decision HR payroll office.
  • Understands employee payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
  • Check documents to ensure that all information is accurate and double-check important data such as names and addresses.
  • Perform basic and routine accounting functions.
  • Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks.
  • Proactively communicate with your supervisor.
  • Communicate errors or unusual items.
  • Propose solutions and improvements to processes.
