About The Position

HHM Talent is assisting a client search for an Automotive Finance Director in Hammond, LA. We are seeking a Finance Director to oversee and develop a high-performing F&I department across multiple rooftops. This individual will play a critical role in developing Finance Managers, strengthening lender relationships, and drive continued growth in department performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in finance combined with a proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams.

Requirements

• Automotive finance leadership experience required
• Proven track record of developing an mentoring F&I teams
• Experience managing or overseeing multiple Finance Managers or multi-store operations
• Strong understanding of automotive lending, deal structuring, CIT management, compliance, and F&I processes
• Ability to lead, motivate, and build high-performing teams
• Prior experience as a Finance Director, General Manager, or General Sales Manager with strong finance background

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of 17 Finance Managers across five dealership locations
• Develop, mentor, and coach Finance Managers to improve performance and career growth
• Build leadership within the F&I department by preparing team members for increased responsibility
• Maintain and strengthen lender relationships and financing programs
• Oversee contracts in transit, down payments, and funding processes
• Ensure compliance, documentation standards, and F&I processes are consistently followed across stores
• Monitor and improve department performance: PRV, Products per deal, and overall profitability
• Collaborate with dealership leadership on staffing, hiring, and department structure
• Implement processes and training programs to improve operational consistency and overall performance across all rooftops
