About The Position

Larson Automotive Group is seeking a results-driven Automotive Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple dealerships. Requirements

Automotive Controller or Accounting Manager experience in a retail dealership
Expert knowledge of dealership accounting, financial statements, and manufacturer reporting
Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, morale, and accountability
Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to leadership
DMS proficiency (automotive dealership systems preferred)
Prior experience in retail automotive dealership accounting management is required.
Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, general ledger accounting, and manufacturer reporting.
Experience managing cash flow, floor plan reconciliation, and tax computations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and dealership management systems (DMS).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Lead Multi-Store Financial Operations – Oversee full accounting functions across multiple rooftops
Deliver Accurate Financials – Ensure timely, precise monthly statements and manufacturer reporting
Drive Insight & Strategy – Provide financial analysis that supports executive decision-making
Maintain Financial Controls – Manage reconciliations, schedules, cash flow, and contracts in transit
Ensure Compliance – Uphold OEM requirements, internal controls, and audit standards
Build & Inspire Teams – Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team of 20+
Partner with Leadership – Collaborate with department leaders to align financial goals with operational performance
Strengthen External Relationships – Work closely with OEM partners, lenders, and outside auditors
