Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a BDC Representative/Specialist in an automotive dealership (prior dealership BDC experience mandatory).
  • Demonstrated success in appointment setting, lead conversion, and exceeding performance goals.
  • Strong phone presence, objection-handling skills, active listening, and rapport-building ability.
  • Proficiency with dealership CRM/lead management systems and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, customer-focused mindset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility for evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram sales/service processes and incentives.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and retention campaigns.
  • Knowledge of current automotive market trends in Southern California.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to and qualify inbound leads from website forms, chats, phone calls, emails, social media, and third-party sources.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up via phone, text, and email to nurture prospects, re-engage prior customers, and promote inventory, specials, incentives, and service campaigns.
  • Schedule quality test drives, finance appointments, deliveries, and service visits while confirming all appointment details.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including contact volume, appointments set, show rates, and CSI scores.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions and updates in CRM systems (DealerSocket, VinSolutions, or similar).
  • Collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to ensure smooth handoffs and strong pre-appointment support.
  • Stay current on CDJR inventory, incentives, financing programs, and Southern California market trends.
  • Support retention efforts through loyalty outreach and consistent follow-up communication.
