About The Position

As an Automation Technology Intern, you will collaborate closely with our engineers to support the design, development, testing, and implementation of automation technology solutions that serve our customers' projects. You will gain hands-on experience with industrial automation systems and learn about various aspects of the industry, contributing to projects that improve our customers' overall efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook Calendar)
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
  • Solid judgment along with decision-making skills
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities
  • Understand confidentiality standards
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems and evaluate based on strengths and weaknesses

Responsibilities

  • Support automation engineers in the design, development, testing, and implementation of automation technology solutions
  • Support assembly and integration of mechanical systems, fixtures, guarding, and equipment.
  • Assist/lead in mechanical design tasks, including CAD modeling, drafting, and component selection.
  • Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Create conceptual drawings for customer opportunities
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate customer user cases
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to automation technology
  • Develop and support demos for our automation Executive Briefing Center (EBC)
  • Conduct research on automation technologies and industry trends
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to project discussions and planning
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely and accurate manner
