About The Position

The VISHAY Process Automation Industrial Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed project roadmaps for automation projects and automated systems within a production and manufacturing environment. This role requires collaboration with departmental and corporate leadership. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a thorough knowledge of engineering and automation. Key aspects of the role include designing and implementing automated systems, defining system architecture, developing programs in various languages, coordinating system development, improving manufacturing efficiency, and providing technical support. The position is located on-site in Ontario, California, USA.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning
  • Experience with C# and WinForms building desktop programs
  • Experience with Serial Communication and Interfacing to various equipment
  • Experience with Micro-controller development (Arduino)
  • Experience with electronic circuits
  • Experience with purchasing, planning, scheduling, and materials management systems
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • SAP and manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated systems and automation framework settings
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Develop or modify programs in C /C#/C++
  • Develop automation scripts in Perl and Ruby
  • Coordinate system development, including the design, modeling, security, integration, and testing
  • Identify, develop, and implement new processes to improve productivity and efficiency in our manufacturing operations
  • Identify and resolve issues using existing or potential solutions
  • Create detailed road maps to guide automation projects from initial conception to final implementation
  • Manage and document system configurations
  • Support and upgrade existing automation technology
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide technical support and training as needed
