Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer Intern located in our Austin, TX site. We are seeking a motivated Automation Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in mechanical design, system fabrication, commissioning, and testing. You will work closely with our engineering team to bring innovative solutions to life and gain exposure to multidisciplinary projects.

Requirements

  • Current undergrad student pursuing degree in Mechanical Engineering or related major.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in mechanical design of components and assemblies using CAD tools.
  • Support system fabrication, including assembly and integration of mechanical systems.
  • Participate in commissioning and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Follow wiring diagrams to assist in electrical cabinet wiring and system integration.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve design or assembly issues.
  • Document work processes, test results, and design changes accurately.
