The opportunity to be the go‑to Playwright expert supporting enterprise‑level engineering initiatives Fully remote flexibility with a team that values expertise, collaboration, and autonomy A role where your work directly improves product quality, speeds up delivery, and enhances engineering excellence A supportive environment where innovation, continuous improvement, and modern tooling are encouraged The chance to bring your automation engineering mastery to a high-impact client environment Your Role & Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance automated testing frameworks using Playwright as the primary tool Build and maintain reusable automation components that ensure consistency, scalability, and high code quality Partner with development teams, QA engineers, and product owners to define automation strategy and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines Conduct root-cause analysis and provide meaningful insights on defects, failures, and quality risks Ensure automation is aligned with modern engineering best practices and supports rapid, reliable deployments Optimize automation execution performance and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvements of the automation ecosystem Collaborate across teams to ensure automation coverage supports business priorities and technical needs Skills & Experience You Should Possess 10+ years of experience in automation engineering or test automation development Deep, hands-on expertise with Playwright, including framework creation, setup, configuration, and custom scripting Strong programming experience in languages commonly used with Playwright (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python) Experience designing scalable, modular automation solutions for web applications Strong understanding of automated testing principles, CI/CD pipelines, quality engineering, and DevOps workflows Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, Agile environments Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills Bonus Points If You Have: Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems Experience integrating automation into large-scale enterprise platforms Background in performance testing, API automation, or test orchestration Exposure to cloud-based testing environments Education & Certifications You Need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field Test automation or QA certifications are a plus but not required What We Offer At Trissential, we believe in empowering talented engineers while providing the flexibility and support you need to succeed. Competitive Compensation – You choose the model that works best for you, both with company-sponsored benefits! $124,000–$141,000 annually or $70–$80 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in automation engineering or test automation development
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Playwright, including framework creation, setup, configuration, and custom scripting
- Strong programming experience in languages commonly used with Playwright (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python)
- Experience designing scalable, modular automation solutions for web applications
- Strong understanding of automated testing principles, CI/CD pipelines, quality engineering, and DevOps workflows
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, Agile environments
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
Nice To Haves
