About The Position

The Automation Analyst will provide advanced data and automation development across ETL, reporting, dashboards, and data extract creation. This individual will work within a team environment supporting multiple companies in the property & casualty insurance industry. In addition to traditional data engineering responsibilities, this role will focus heavily on identifying manual, repetitive, or high‑volume processes and implementing automation solutions using UiPath, Python, and related technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with single‑system or single‑technology environments
  • 1+ years of SQL experience (queries, stored procedures, functions)
  • Ability to meet or quickly learn the key accountabilities of the role
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Strong business and technical problem‑solving skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience and/or alternative qualifications will be considered.
  • Hands‑on experience with automation Tools
  • Proven ability to automate manual processes and optimize workflows
  • Experience in integrating automation with enterprise systems, APIs, and databases
  • Understanding of automation best practices, exception handling, and lifecycle management
  • Experience documenting automation logic and maintaining automation assets

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an in‑depth understanding of insurance‑related reporting and insurance company operations
  • Understand business data processes, system interfaces, and data usage across the organization
  • Design and implement ETL processes, data structures, and analytical/operational reporting environments
  • Design new system functionality with a focus on performance, stability, and supportability
  • Apply industry best practices in modeling, workflow, and presentation
  • Develop inbound and outbound data extracts for internal and external sources
  • Provide strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Conduct upstream/downstream impact analysis across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers
  • Assist in defining standards and design patterns for data and automation processes
  • Mentor team members and contribute to development standards
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Participate in on‑call rotation as needed
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual or inefficient workflows across business and technical teams
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain UiPath automations, including attended and unattended bots
  • Integrate automation solutions with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
  • Ensure automations follow governance, compliance, and security standards
  • Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing bots
  • Document automation processes, logic, and operational procedures
