About The Position

As an Automotive Mechanic you will be responsible for performing skilled automotive work involving inspections, modifications, maintenance, and repairs on complex automotive and special equipment for a diverse fleet including gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Three years’ journey-level experience in performing skilled automotive work involving inspection, diagnosis, modification, maintenance, and repair on complex automotive and other special equipment
New York State and/or New Jersey State Emissions Inspector License (selected applicants without this license must obtain within six months of hire for continued employment)
Valid driver license with the ability to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's (CDL) Permit with the air brakes endorsement or higher before the first day of work and will be required to obtain a Class A CDL License with endorsements within three months of employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to a 40-hour week, which includes rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime as needed and during inclement weather and emergencies.

Diagnosis and repair (including car/truck repairs, air conditioner, axle & transaxle, airbrakes)
Auxiliary and control systems
Inspections (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems)
