About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Authorization Specialist to join our Authorization team. Core responsibilities include:

Completes accurate and timely insurance verification/authorization 
Communicates with patients, insurers, and other appropriate parties pertaining to insurance verification and authorization
Assist the pre-certification team 
Accurately inputs patient’s information into computer
Creates a positive patient experience by being polite, compassionate, and professional 
Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Candidate must have a High School Diploma
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance Guidelines and requirements
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent time management skills
• Multi-tasker
• Candidate should be familiar with EMR

Nice To Haves

• Medical office background experience preferred
