The AugSem Program Assistants (APAs) are responsible for performing and implementing administrative and programmatic duties for AugSem, First-Year Experience and Campus Life. Responsibilities may include answering and returning calls, making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other student staff, and customer relations. Impact This position provides essential programmatic support to AugSem, First-Year Experience and Campus Life for its events throughout the year. It also allows the office to maintain a basic level of functioning in maintaining consistent communications with the broader campus and greater community, as well as providing an amazing experience for first-year students. Job Description The APAs: Supervise the AugSem Student Leaders. Support programming, projects and communications that enhances the first-year experience at Augsburg University. Recruit and hire the AugSem Student Leaders for the upcoming Fall semester. Organize and offer face-to-face check-ins with the AugSem Student Leader team and with individual leaders, as appropriate. Develop and support training for the incoming AugSem Student Leaders. Support other programming housed within Campus Life, including orientation programming, leadership development programming, and other events. Support projects that enhance student belonging and success as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Belonging. Conduct other duties as assigned. Work-study eligible students welcome.
