About The Position

This position is designated as Exempt Policy-Making under G.S. 126-5(c)(3) and is considered an at-will appointment. The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking an Audit Manager to be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and reviewing Medicaid audits and examinations. As part of our team, you will get to: Plan, organize, and supervise the entire Medicaid audit process Prepare and review Medicaid audit findings and reports Manage assigned staff, along with ensuring compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures Perform administrative duties and special projects as required Provide both professional development for yourself, along with the Medicaid Audit staff This position is designated as Exempt Policy-Making under G.S. 126-5(c)(3) and is considered an at-will appointment. Requirements

  • Knowledge of GAGAS; federal and state Medicaid laws and regulations; and Medicaid program operations
  • Ability to plan, assign, and monitor work
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff
  • A bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and 5 years of experience in auditing/accounting, one of which must have been functioning as an audit lead or supervisor OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
