About The Position

Our client is currently seeking to hire a fully qualified accountant with a strong commitment to a professional career for the position of Audit Assistant Manager, responsible for leading the firm’s Audit Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years’ experience in an audit environment. The selected individual will manage a portfolio of clients and report directly to the manager or director in charge. A strong command of written and spoken English is essential.

Requirements

  • A University of Malta graduate (Honours or Master’s in Accountancy), or holder of an ACCA qualification, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Capability to perform under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of GAPSME and IFRS.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in an audit environment.
  • A strong command of written and spoken English is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Planning the work of the Audit Department in collaboration with managers, partners, and other departmental leads.
  • Reviewing the work carried out by subordinates.
  • Reviewing financial statements, assessing accounts for accuracy and completeness, and reporting on findings.
  • Drafting audited financial statements.
  • Attending and participating in client meetings.
