About The Position

ESIM/USARPAC is seeking a Sr. Audio Visual Engineer at Fort Shafter, Hawaii supporting USARPAC G6 and its customers. This position provides on-site support for audio visual, unified communications and collaborations systems in various room configurations, such as desktop, teams rooms or briefing/conference rooms. This role ensures reliable, high-quality conferencing capabilities for meetings, briefings, and mission-critical operations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD in information technology, Communications, Electronics, or related field (or 12 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting AV/VTC systems
  • Experience with VTC technologies (e.g., Cisco, Extron, or Dantes)
  • Strong hands-on AV and UC experience, excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Active Secret Clearance required, must be able to obtain TS/SCI
  • Experience with unified communications platforms (Microsoft Teams, Webex)
  • Knowledge of structured cabling and AV signal flow
  • CompTIA Security plus Certified

Nice To Haves

  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Experience in supporting executive-level or command-level customers/briefings
  • Familiar with classified or secure VTC environments
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Codecs/Webex, Extron, and Audio-Visual technology
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, 802.1X, DHCP, DNS)

Responsibilities

  • Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment of approved technologies such as AMX, Extron, Cisco Codecs, Cisco VoIP, and other Cisco collaboration products
  • Install, configure and maintain AV and VTC systems (e.g., cameras, codecs, microphones, displays, controls systems)
  • Provided operational support for video teleconferences, briefings, and live events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV/VTC systems issue in real time with minimal disruption
  • Integrate AV systems with network infrastructure (IP address, SIP, Conferencing platform)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and systems upgrades
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and User guides
  • Provide training and technical support to end users and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and information assurance policy
