About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Audio Visual Engineering Manager at Fort Huachuca, AZ. What you will do: Provides high-quality and experienced technical expertise in all aspects of AV and VTC, hardware and software purchases, related network services, maintenance support activities, and engineering work for existing and new equipment work on design specs and reviews for AV and communications systems using AutoCAD. Designs system functionality based on client specifications and budgets. Works as an integrated team member with other engineers and installers, troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise. Supports AV and VTC events, including but not limited to, meetings, conferences that require AV/VTC hardware support, public address system with multiple microphone/line level sources, public display for live/recorded/VTC video, computer display, and open/close caption. Will assist government personnel with developing audio video systems, specifically specifying equipment, resolving potential connectivity issues, and determining labor estimates for quotes. Will occasionally work with salespeople on client meetings to win new projects and will also work as a project manager to oversee the successful completion of large projects. Will also provide custom programming for audio video systems that allow for the tying together of multiple electronic functions onto a single control device. Typical systems include Extron, Crestron, and AMX. Install and configure Polycom video endpoints. Performs daily walk-throughs of conference rooms to make sure everything works. Provides meeting room support. Provides all hands type meeting support. Provides camera recording for events. Troubleshoots minor AV issues - Issues with projector, TV, PC, Mac, digital signage. Manages Davis Monthan systems administrators and help desk support on behalf of the G6 customer.

Requirements

  • Current TS/SCI with ability obtain CI Polygraph
  • Min 10 years experience
  • Crestron Certification
  • Certification credentials for AV installation technician such as InfoComm CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D.
  • Experience in installing and/or configuring videoconferencing products and in configuring matrix switchers.
  • Extensive knowledge of information technology (IT) networking, hardware, and various cable types.
  • Ability to install projections screens, plasma TV’s and different types of speakers.
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of installation, operation, scheduling and support of desktop and conference room VTC systems in a secure government or military environment including CODECs and H.320/H.323 protocols.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication experience to engage and support customers.
