The Audio Visual and Collaboration Technology Specialist is responsible for the deployment, support, and day-to-day operation of conference room and meeting space technology across the organization. This role focuses on Microsoft Teams Rooms and related AV systems to ensure reliable, consistent, and professional meeting experiences. The position operates as a hands-on technical role and partners closely with IT, Facilities, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, AV Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise AV or collaboration technology
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar conferencing platforms
  • Working knowledge of AV equipment including displays, cameras, microphones, and control systems
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts related to AV systems
  • CTS certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage workload independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and associated AV hardware
  • Provide hands-on support for cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, and room controllers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve conference room and collaboration technology issues
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for AV and room technology support
  • Partner with Facilities on room builds, renovations, cabling, power, and mounting
  • Coordinate with vendors and installers for AV equipment installation and repairs
  • Maintain AV standards, room configurations, and technical documentation
  • Ensure a consistent user experience across conference rooms and offices
  • Support executive and leadership meetings requiring advanced AV setup
  • Monitor room health and proactively address reliability or performance issues
  • Assist with inventory tracking and lifecycle replacement planning
  • Provide basic user training and quick reference guides for room technology
  • Ensure AV systems align with IT security, network, and compliance standards
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, and adopt new AV and collaboration solutions as they become available to improve future meeting capabilities
  • Ability to support executive level users calmly and effectively
  • Ability to document standards and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
