This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $75.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Justice. This position is located at 114 W Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27603. This attorney will serve as lead counsel in complex, high-impact litigation with a primary focus on protecting public resources managed by the Wildlife Resources Commission. The position carries primary responsibility for developing and executing legal strategies to enforce state laws related to wildlife, habitat, and natural resource protection. This position requires exceptional litigation skills, deep subject matter knowledge, and the ability to independently lead legal action in high-profile, resource-intensive cases. The attorney must be committed to the State's mission of protecting its natural resources through effective legal advocacy and enforcement. Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
