The Atlassian SME is a systems architect position that will be working with a high-end Digital Engineering Solutions technical team. The Atlassian SME will draw on their experience as an engineer to help the team configure Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management to provide customized, unique solutions for our Space Systems Command customer. This position will be responsible for building custom Jira workflows and custom Confluence dashboards to capture and display data. You will work with the customer to elicit requirements and workflows and turn those into automated and semi-automated processes in Jira. You will use Jira Service Management to manage workflows and asset management. The Atlassian SME must have an expert understanding of Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. You should be a skilled user of the Microsoft Office suite with special focus on MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. In this position you will work closely with highly technical operations and maintenance personnel and will decipher requirements based on their input. You will use coding skills such as JQL, SQL, and HTML to build custom products. Experience building Atlassian plug-ins/applications is a plus. The ability to work with Java and Java Script will be helpful. A background in the DoD, especially acquisition, is highly desired. The Atlassian SME will require excellent interpersonal skills to work with team members, work through varying opinions on the way to create complex workflows and dashboards and support the iterative evolution of products. Additional Information: This position is not a developer as a coder but a process workflow improver. The key difference is a developer that understands the acquisitions process and the military. This person needs to be able to sit down with customer, go over workflow process for DoD acquisition, elicit requirements and help turn it into roadmaps and code.
