About The Position

Maryville High School seeks a qualified Athletic Director for grades 10–12 (and soon 9-12). This full-time, benefited position operates on a 220-day contract and reports directly to the principal. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all athletic programs while collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to foster a culture of excellence and sportsmanship.

• Valid teaching certificate
• No coaching responsibilities during tenure as Athletic Director

Nice To Haves

• Head coaching experience at the high school level, minimum of 5 years
• Administrative experience, preferred
• Minimum of 5 years combined coaching and teaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to support and sustain highly competitive athletic programs
• Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining qualified coaches
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities
• Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Proven fiscal management and fundraising expertise
• Understanding of TSSAA policies and guidelines
