About The Position

The Athletic Coordinator will assist the Recreation Supervisor in the organization and management of City of Bishop sports programs.

This position is a part-time position. With a maximum of 20 hours per week. Salary will be based on experience. For more information, please contact Jana Currie at 760-873-5863 Ext. 122. EOE.

The Athletic Coordinator is familiar with various sports rules, knowledge of sports, or has prior sports participation, enjoys athletics, and has his or her own form of transportation. The Athletic Coordinator will assist the Recreation Supervisor in the organization and management of City of Bishop sports programs. Effective communication skill to work with adults involved in the sports programs, and team managers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have experience in organized sports
• Must be able to supervise the activities, as well as staff and patrons.
• Have experience in managing or administrating some type of sports program.
• Must have a personal vehicle in order to transport sports equipment to and from facilities.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Management and supervision of the City of Bishop sports league programs for both youth and adult participants.
• Keep score, read schedules, rules, and understand the overall knowledge of the game of basketball, softball, baseball. and soccer
• Supervise & communicate with parents, managers, referees, and players
• Taking care of each facility and able to transport equipment to venue location that are assigned.
