About The Position

The Football Coordinator, Coach, and Athletic Facilities Coordinator reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Middle School and Football Program Head and serves on the varsity football coaching staff with the duties of a football coordinator (Offense, Defense or Special Teams). Supporting the Athletic Director, the Football Coordinator, Coach, and Athletic Facilities Coordinator is the point of contact for the department responsible for scheduling, inventory, and rentals of Kinkaid’s athletic facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of Varsity or Collegiate experience coaching football
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Eagerness to grow professionally and remain current within the field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Coordinator experience preferred
  • Prior experience teaching Physical Education preferred
  • Prior experience coaching multiple sports preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Offensive/Defensive Coordinator on the varsity football coaching team responsible for game plan and preparation
  • Conduct daily meetings with staff and players during the season and prepare practice plans with the football staff
  • Coach assigned position
  • Prepare scout team and utilize scouting plans to prepare actionable plans
  • Assist the football Program Head in all matters associated with the football program
  • Manage and coordinate all video operations for practices, gamedays, and exchanges
  • Manage the Equipment and Supplies Room and order equipment or supplies, as needed, including responsibility for reconditioning of existing equipment
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of seasonal indoor and/or inclement weather practice plans
  • Work with Facilities department and coordinate activities related to event setup and the maintenance of scoreboards, netting, and equipment
  • Oversee the Athletic facility rental policy, and responsible for managing the Private Instruction process and facility scheduling sessions
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/daily facility schedule confirmations, maintain the athletic facility schedule on the facilities calendar, and review all facility requests, and if approved, add to the calendar; coordinate athletics rooms request
  • Trophy management and update (SPC, HJPC, State, City, etc.)
  • Coordinate locker room coverage for Middle School and Upper School teams
  • Assist with home game management and staffing during the Fall, Winter, and Spring athletic seasons; enter pay rates for home game management
  • Serve as “Administrator on Duty” for assigned home game athletic events
  • Serve in a coaching position for Winter and Spring Season to be assigned by the Director of Athletics
  • Serve as a substitute Physical Education Teacher, as needed
  • Other duties assigned by the Football Program Head (including Football Operations) or by the Director of Athletics and Physical Education
