About The Position

Assistant, Associate, Full Professor at the University of Florida. The
Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty clinical
investigator clinician-research track position for the Division of
Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. This
position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with
experience in hematologic malignancies and blood and marrow transplantation and
an active interest in the development and conduct of clinical trials.  This
individual will have a primarily clinical assignment, but will also be expected
to develop, conduct and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative
research involving patients with hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow
transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. Our Hematologic Malignancy/BMT/Cell
Therapy group is a charter Core Center of the Blood and Marrow Transplant
Clinical Trials Network for 20 years, has been FACT-accredited since 2000, is
one of 12 centers in the LLS Beat AML consortium, and has had consistent growth
in patient volumes, while achieving superior outcomes. Our group conducts a
number of investigator-initiated clinical trials and first in human trials of
BMT with dendritic cell vaccines manufactured in our Cancer Institute GMP
facility.

The successful candidate will ideally have the training and some experience in
developing investigator-initiated clinical trials and interacting with
laboratory scientists for translational research.  Resources provided are
competitive salary, protected time, and the resources of the Cancer
Institute clinical research office, which provides study coordinators,
regulatory support, and biostatistical support.  We have a culture that strongly
supports conduct of clinical trials and we enter nearly 15% of all new patients
to treatment interventional trials.

by the UF Health Cancer Institute Clinical Research Office. Requisite attributes

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or
Hematology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
