The University of Florida Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, part of UF Health, the Southeast's most comprehensive academic health center, invites applicants for a full-time, Tenure/Non-Tenure track, Ast/Aso/Full Professor position in Hepatology. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications. The ideal applicant will be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology. Clinical duties would include weekly outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and staffing of the GI and/or Hepatology inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospitals. UF Gastroenterology is a regional referral center for pancreatic diseases, GI malignancies, complex liver disease and liver transplantation, obesity, gut microbiome, new technology development, and motility with a state-of-the-art GI motility lab, with a leading gastroparesis program. Multiple collaborative research and clinical trials opportunities exist in these areas. The fellowship program trains 13 fellows per year and education of residents and medical students is also expected. Academic appointment is commensurate with experience. Joint faculty appointment at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center is possible for the interested candidate. The Gainesville region has an inexpensive cost of living, nationally ranked middle and high schools, and superb weather with endless year-round recreational opportunities.
