About The Position

Works in alignment with the Surgical Services director and assumes responsibility and accountability in the absence of the Surgical Services director for the 24-hour management of all Surgical Services departments typically including Pre-op, PAT, OR, PACU, Anesthesia, Endo, SPD, OR supply management, advance imaging and administrative tasks are handled in a timely manner and with precision. May lead interdisciplinary teams on various initiatives.

Requirements

BSN is required.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of acute care surgical services leadership/charge experience required.
Capable of exhibiting strong leadership presence throughout the organization related to all initiatives.
Possesses ability to look beyond scope of individual responsibility to act as stewards of UHS’s resources.
Detailed clinical and operations experience.
Demonstrated teamwork, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills.
Computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of MS Project and Access recommended.
