The University of New Mexico Student Health & Counseling clinic (SHAC) is recruiting for a knowledgeable and experienced Assistant Director of Clinical Counseling and Training. Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, this position will coordinate and oversee the Mental Health Collaborative, a clinical mental health internship training program within Student Health and Counseling (SHAC). The selected candidate will work collaboratively with clinical staff to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of training activities for graduate-level counseling and social work interns. Provides clinical supervision, internship placement, mentorship, and professional development to interns and trainees engaged in mental health service delivery. Maintains a clinical caseload providing psychosocial assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services to university students. The Student Health & Counseling Center is located at the center of campus. The clinic provides comprehensive primary and mental health services and has a laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, physical therapy, acupuncture, case management, and health promotions on site. Other medical services provided are same day appointments, travel medicine, immunizations, and sports medicine.
