We are currently looking for an Assistant Director of Residential Services to join our team of dedicated professionals. Position Summary: Assists the Residential Director and/or Director of Operations in providing management and operation of residential facilities for referred youth by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Mental Health Assistant/ Tech experience with training and supervisory role related experience required, 5-8 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists to plan, direct, and delegate responsibilities to subordinates as necessary.
  • Heads up training MHA staff as well as HWC, Verbal D training during NHO as well as ongoing training for current staff.
  • Assists to administer & uphold all policies and procedures of the organization to meet and comply with regulatory agencies on required periodic basis.
  • Assists with monitoring of daily operations of the facility via on-site supervision and delegation of duties to facility staff.
  • Ensure monthly compliance of staffing needs to include appropriate staff-to-client ratio.
  • Assists to develop and implement specific programs, in accordance with organization's policies, to benefit the residents/students.
  • Respond 24 hours per day to emergency calls from staff and intervene as necessary.
  • Acts as a liaison between HR and Residential to coordinate recertifications and all trainings as they align with corporate and state policies and timelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of state licensing regulations, contractual requirements, CARF standards, HIPAA policy, ordinances, laws and other regulations required of his/her position and acts consistently and in obedience to same.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
  • Serves as the role model and supervisor for the direct care staff.
  • Implements the behavioral program to include clinical interventions.
  • Participates in evaluations, counseling, and disciplines of shift supervisors and direct care staff.
  • Provides assessment of and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
  • Promotes and maintains departmental functioning in a professional manner.
  • Maintains on-going communication with administration as it relates to milieu status, patient acuity, staffing changes and other clinical and personnel issues.
  • Assists in staff orientation, educational needs, and maintaining competent staff.
  • Presents evaluations to shift supervisors, with appropriate signatures, within timeframes.
  • Assists with patient staffing when needed.
  • Assists with coverage for staff breaks on his/her shift.
  • Completes job specific orientation checklist with new direct care staff within 2 weeks of orientation.
  • Must be able to delegate, be a strategic thinker, have great time management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
