This role assists with managing the court docket, preparing reports, maintaining court records, and preparing jail lists. The Assistant Court Coordinator also answers department telephones, provides assistance, requested documents and information, refers callers, and takes messages. Responsibilities include receiving, dating, and distributing incoming mail, maintaining office inventories and equipment, preparing requisitions for needed materials, equipment, and supplies, receiving and distributing incoming supply shipments, reviewing and coding invoices, and forwarding for payment. The position also involves preparing folders, maintaining files of department correspondence, program records, legal documents, photocopying documents, distributing and/or filing, and requesting information from other departments as necessary to complete department records/files. Additionally, the role assists with special projects as assigned and performs related work as required.
