We offer many remote and hybrid career opportunities. The Associate Director, Product Management is a high-level strategic leader and company authority on market trends and customer needs. This role is responsible for shaping the long-term product vision and prioritizing the strategic pillars for the organization’s entire product portfolio. In addition to portfolio oversight, the Associate Director leads high-impact Programs, taking direct responsibility for business metrics and strategic objectives. This individual serves as a bridge between executive leadership and the product organization, identifying large-scale initiatives that drive new revenue streams and open new markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma required.
  • 7+ years of healthcare product management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working on healthcare interoperability features.
  • 4+ years experience in a leadership or senior management capacity.
  • Architectural Acumen: Serves as a trusted partner to engineering; able to help architect solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to any audience.
  • Programmatic Strategy: Mastery of leading large-scale programs, "right-sizing" features for quarterly delivery, and managing dependencies across multiple product lines.
  • Influential Leadership: High degree of influence across the company, with a proven ability to gain buy-in for strategic initiatives and program objectives from various departments.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Recognized as a deep domain expert within the industry, informing strategy through authoritative market knowledge.
  • Executive Communication: Expert at translating program performance and portfolio health into high-level narratives for executive decision-making.

  • Certifications: Advanced Product Management or Executive Leadership certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, or MBA).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Portfolio KPI Ownership: Influence the long-term product vision and set/track KPIs for the entire portfolio. Define core metrics and ensure data integrity across all reporting.
  • Program Leadership & Business Accountability: May lead strategic Programs with direct responsibility for achieving specific business metrics and objectives. Drive end-to-end execution of cross-functional initiatives that impact the company's bottom line.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the planning and release cadence for a portfolio of products. Improve release processes to increase predictability and efficiency, and define best practices for scope management across teams.
  • Business Growth & Innovation: Identify and lead large-scale initiatives that drive new revenue streams or expand the company into new market segments.
  • High-Stakes Problem Solving: Tackle the most ambiguous and complex problems in the company, making rapid trade-offs to unblock cross-functional teams and ensure quarterly value delivery.
  • Executive Presence: Represent the product portfolio and major programs to executive leadership, major customers, and industry groups, shaping the narrative of the product’s value.
  • Operational Leadership: Drive technical discovery with engineering leads and help architect solutions. Ensure all junior and senior PMs are adhering to high-quality documentation, standard design patterns, and rigorous requirements.
  • Mentorship & People Leadership: Actively mentor multiple product managers, defining development opportunities and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Operational Accountability: Accurately track capacity and consumption across the portfolio weekly for project accounting and resource planning.
