Support of all end user-facing IT warehouse equipment (i.e., handheld devices, label printers, time clocks, etc.), in addition to LCM of all printers. Requirements

  • High school/GED, preferred associate degree. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 1-year progressive experience in a related field
  • General understanding of warehouse processes, networking concepts, and Microsoft/Android OS platform
  • General knowledge/experience with thermal label printing
  • General knowledge regarding troubleshooting/repairs/maintenance of label and paper printers (Zebra and HP model)
  • Familiarity with barcode technology and scanners (Zebra model)
  • Familiarity with DNS (iPam configured)
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Adherence to WWT's Core Values, Mission, and Vision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel between our Edwardsville (IL) and Maryland Heights (MO) facilities, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a general warehouse/logistics technology environment preferred, specifically in troubleshooting warehouse hardware.
  • Experience in a customer-facing and customer-focused role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Experience using Zebra handheld devices (e.g., barcode scanning, inventory movement, warehouse or operational workflows)
  • Assist with business-critical break/fix of all warehouse technology (i.e., printers, handhelds, etc.)
  • Accurately document interactions, incidents, requests, and problems
  • Analyze customer-specific needs/issues; assist in deploying solutions.
  • IT warehouse asset management (i.e., inventory, deployment, tracking, disposal, etc.)
  • Life cycle management for new hardware models, upgrades, etc.
  • Create a positive customer support experience and build strong relationships through problem understanding, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and handling customers with a professional attitude.
  • Document resolutions and update self-help and knowledge bases
  • Grow general knowledge of specific products, increasing ability to resolve requests on first contact.
  • Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) for the customer
  • Manage warehouse IT equipment via Zebra Printer Profile Manager Enterprise (PPME) and Workspace One
