The Associate Video Producer I within the Information and Education Division is responsible for performing professional working in the assistance of senior associate producers in the planning, research, scripting, production and post-production of video products for television broadcast, training or educational purposes. A digital sample of the applicant's video shooting and editing skills is required to be considered. It should be no greater than 10 minutes in length. Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in communications, broadcast journalism, broadcasting or a related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
  • Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possess and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Adobe Premier Pro, video editing, and video production using handheld digital cameras.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Experience using a drone and/or action cameras.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, researches, shoots video, produces, and post produces projects for the Kentucky Afield television show.
  • Generates content for social media.
  • Maintains equipment.
  • Produces segments for the Kentucky Afield television show.
  • Shoots broadcast quality video and provides sound reinforcement in field and studio settings.
