Join the transformative team at City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and treatment facilities in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. Our dedicated and compassionate employees are driven by a common mission: To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today. The Associate Vice President, Philanthropy (AVP) manages a dynamic portfolio of approximately 30–50 of City of Hope’s most financially capable donors and prospects, with a focus on individuals capable of making principal gifts and above within the regional market. This role serves as both a senior fundraising professional and relationship builder, connecting donors with Office of Philanthropy leadership, faculty, and administrative leaders to advance City of Hope’s mission. The AVP develops highly personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for donors and prospects while working collaboratively across regional markets and centralized philanthropy functions. This role ensures that donor proposals, stewardship reports, and communications reflect the highest standards of excellence and personalization. In addition to maintaining an active portfolio, the AVP provides leadership and mentorship to frontline fundraising staff and partners with institutional leadership to align philanthropic opportunities with City of Hope’s strategic priorities.
