About The Position

A Technical Writer creates, edits, and updates documentation and literature for Marvin Product collections to improve our internal and external customer’s knowledge of, and access to, information on Marvin products and options. Technical Writers author Installation and Service Instructions, Architectural Detail Manuals (ADMs), CSI Specifications, Parts Manuals, Technical Specifications, and miscellaneous support guides. This job is located in Warroad, MN. If you're considering relocating to Warroad, you may be eligible for a relocation benefit package to assist with your move. Requirements

  • Associate degree or bachelor's Degree preferred or related experience.
  • Demonstrated technical communications and/or technical writing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to become proficient in Adobe products: Acrobat, FrameMaker, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make easily understandable in text.
  • Understand the audience and customer expected content.
  • Critical thinking and application of prior knowledge/experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate as a cross-functional project team member.
  • Ability to communicate with peers within the work group and department leadership
  • Curiosity, Desire to Explore, Learn and Share.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Adobe products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Author and publish technical documentation.
  • Support product launches and change requests.
  • Develop user-facing tutorials and documentation to improve customer experience.
  • Assist managers with the development and execution of department initiatives.
  • Independently complete smaller scale projects with minimal oversight.
  • Provide input and feedback on work process improvement.
