About The Position

The Scofield lab is hiring an Associate Staff Scientist to design and conduct research experiments; prepare reports presentations and manuscripts for publication; assists with grant writing; and oversee and/or manage research projects, summarize and present results, as well as guiding/leading graduate students, postdocs, and lab staff; may manage staff. Responsibilities: Apply principles and practices of scientific theory, research, and immunology Formulate and test scientific hypotheses Design and conduct research experiments Analyze, interpret, and summarize data and experimental results Prepare and write technical and scientific papers Develop and write grant proposals Communicate scientific concepts effectively in both oral and written formats Mentor students and provide guidance to junior scientists Direct and oversee the work of less experienced research staff OMRF Overview Founded in 1946, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is among the nations oldest, most respected independent, nonprofit biomedical research institutes. Requirements

Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics, or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent
Three years of postdoctoral research experience
Familiarity with standard lab techniques

Nice To Haves

Experience with laboratory techniques, including but not limited to flow cytometry, RNA expression analysis, and CRISPR-Cas systems
Proficiency in analyzing large and complex datasets, including genome-wide association studies and RNA expression data
