The Associate Staff Accountant applies accounting principles to support accurate financial reporting and analysis. This position is responsible for accounts payable, job-costing support, inventory tracking, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Candidates nearing completion of an Accounting degree will be considered
  • Relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain all accounts payable functions
  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up as needed
  • Post freight and outside purchases for job costing
  • Balance accounts payable pending items for month-end close
  • Prepare and record general journal entries as directed by the CFO
  • Review and track daily paper and ink usage
  • Perform periodic ink inventory counts and adjustments
  • Assist with employee wellness activities and initiatives
  • Process and distribute daily mail
  • Answer overflow calls in an auto-attendant phone environment
  • Greet and monitor guests at the front desk
  • Maintain petty cash records and balances
  • Prepare monthly uptime reporting
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the CFO
