The successful candidate will be part of a team involved in target discovery and validation studies, in vitro assay development activities, compound screening and characterization using a wide variety of analytical techniques. The position requires strong expertise with in vivo studies using mouse models of Alzheimer’s Disease and other Neurodegenerative Disorders, from planning, designing to conducting the studies independently. Experience with molecular, biochemical and cell biological techniques, and cellular assay development/validation is preferred. The expectation is that the incumbent is capable of planning and executing experiments in consultation with the scientists in the group, including the analysis and interpretation of the experimental results. The Research and Early Development organization at Biogen seeks a talented Associate Scientist to join the Alzheimer & Dementia Research Unit. The RU is responsible for developing and delivering innovative drug candidates for proof-of concept trials in AD, FTD and other memory disorders.
