About The Position

Medtronic is seeking a committed professional to join their Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) team as an Associate Sales Representative (ASR). This is a remote, field-based position requiring the candidate to reside within the assigned territory (greater Orlando, Florida area) and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. The ASR will partner with field sales and clinical teams, acting as a resource to execute sales activities, lead in-service activities, and support expansion and growth within the Sedation Management business. The role reports to the Regional Business Manager, carries individual quota responsibility, and supports business initiatives in tandem with assigned sales representatives. Significant overnight travel (75% over a multi-state region) and non-traditional hours are required. The ACM business unit focuses on enabling earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through monitoring respiratory status and depth of sedation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of sales experience, or Associate’s degree with 2 years of sales experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ previous field sales experience preferred.
  • Prior medical device, business to business or pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques typically gained through education and/or on the job learning.
  • Introductory knowledge of company products and services.
  • Demonstrable, consistent success in previous roles indicated by a high level of performance.
  • Strong customer focus in delivering sales and building relationships.
  • Understanding of vendor, distributor, hospital supply chain management.
  • Willingness to travel to support conversions for extended periods of time.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Hardworking driven individual with effective persuasion skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enable more selling time by executing sales activities and providing sales support within a key customer base.
  • Assist and/or lead in-service activities related to disposables and/or hardware within a key customer base.
  • Install any necessary equipment/hardware and perform functional/safety tests and/or introduction or collaboration necessary with customers.
  • Drive expansion of ACM products within the territory and coordinate and collaborate with the sales team and other internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and increased utilization as a high priority.
  • Support conversions/sales efforts outside of the region as needed, including product introductions and demos to staff and Clinicians.
  • Support inventory balancing exercises at both the site and/or warehouse level.
