About The Position

Marshall+Sterling, a 100% employee-owned company established in 1864, is seeking an Associate Sales Executive. The company's mission is to empower clients to predict, prepare for, and preempt risk, focusing on protecting people and businesses. This role involves helping clients protect what matters most through tailored insurance solutions. It is a relationship-driven sales position focused on building trust, growing a pipeline, and driving new business across Personal and Commercial Lines. The position can be based out of Marshall+Sterling’s Poughkeepsie Office or be fully Remote.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Ability to generate, pursue, and close sales opportunities
  • Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience with Vertafore is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive trust, retention, and referrals
  • Prospect, follow up on leads, and develop a consistent pipeline of new business
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions and risk strategies
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations using agency and carrier tools
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and contribute to overall business growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams and refer opportunities across divisions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency workflows and compliance standards
