About The Position

We are currently seeking bright, enthusiastic college students to join our Associate Recruiting Department in Austin, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles. San Diego and Washington D.C. offices for the summer of 2026. Interns will have the opportunity to help with strategic planning, implementation, and direction of the firm-wide law school and associate hiring programs. They will work on projects related to summer program events, budget management, staffing and evaluation, and the organization of our interview programs. Interns will build valuable knowledge and skills while working in a dynamic and virtual workplace and will return to school with a broad understanding of lawyer and staff positions available in the legal industry. Interns may start employment on Monday, May 4, 2026, and must be available to work through to Friday, August 7, 2026. Flexibility to work overtime is required and vacation days are not provided. There is some flexibility in work schedules to accommodate differing school schedules.

Requirements

  • Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Demonstrate a customer service orientation
  • Possess well-developed Microsoft Office skills
  • Display the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Currently an enrolled student

Responsibilities

  • Preparing lawyers for virtual interviews and career fairs
  • Reviewing applicant resumes and transcripts
  • Assisting with arrangements for virtual interviews of candidates
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
