About The Position

The Associate QA Inspector will provide high-level support to the Flight Services Quality Assurance team by developing and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures. This role involves conducting audits and records reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, monitoring maintenance activities for adherence to airworthiness directives, and facilitating continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Previous experience with auditing practices and introductory experience working with cross-functional initiatives.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in an aviation environment.
  • Strong knowledgeable of current 14 CFR requirements (Parts, 1, 21, 25, 39, 43, 65 & 91)
  • Ability to follow specific steps within auditing documents.
  • Basic understanding of Federal Aviation Administration processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality processes, procedures, and concepts in aviation quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex problems.
  • Solid understanding of business context and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in identifying and addressing areas of concern and remediation.
  • Effective influencing skills and a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all inspection and maintenance documentation is accurately completed, including proper airworthiness release and return-to-service records when applicable.
  • Monitors assigned maintenance activities to ensure all aircraft comply with airworthiness directives (AD's), mandatory or alert service bulletins, and tracks these items to closure as required.
  • Provides training to maintenance designees, Outsources Maintenance Providers (OMP's), and Authorized Persons as requested, ensuring compliance with 14 CFR regulations, GMM/ AIM/ MPM, and company standards.
  • Maintains current status of MMEL/ MEL/ CDL/ NEF for each assigned aircraft and promptly notifies designees of any changes.
  • Liaise with aircraft computerized maintenance tracking program (CMTP) vendors to ensure timely and accurate updates to maintenance programs, maintaining alignment with industry and regulatory best practices.
