Job Description Summary: Supports Program Manager(s) and/or Director(s) in the completion of administrative and managerial assignments contributing to the execution of projects/programs of various size and complexity. This individual will administer and care for high dollar Firm Fixed/Cost Type subcontracts/purchase order with multiple vendors, develop tactical and strategic aspects of supplier relationships, and monitor and drive execution across the supply base which will include leading and engaging cross functional engineering teams for issue resolution, quality improvements and production efficiency gains in support of U.S. Government subcontracts. Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in the development and maintenance of project/program documentation to include project/program plans, Integrated Master Schedule, opportunity/risk/issue tracking, purchase requisitions, action item tracking, lessons learned, etc. Monitors project/program budget. Works under the supervision of the Product Line Director or Program Director or assigned Program Manager. Serves as alternate customer contact for program information. Supports Program Manager(s) and/or Director(s) in business development within current customer base and/or for new customers. Facilitate program reporting using prescribed business tools. Regularly interacts with project/program team members. Effectively conveys work results to the project/program team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters. Initiates Lifecycle Management (LCM) planning for project/program.

Requirements

  • Awareness of basic project/program management tools, processes and techniques to assist with project/program activities to meet the successful execution of assigned project/program.
  • Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning, execution, project/program monitoring and control, and decision-making.
  • Experience with integrating team member inputs into reports and presentations for, and as directed, by the program manager.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS office applications
  • Bachelor’s degree (major in engineering, computer science, business, or related technical field preferred)
  • 2 years’ professional experience in project/program management in commercial or defense industry required
  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
