About The Position

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) Associate Program Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and completion of projects or programs within TRI’s Administrative Program Core. The individual coordinates team activities, manages resources and timelines, communicates with stakeholders, and supports Institute leadership to ensure program objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Specific tasks may include primary oversite of program event management, annual local meetings, workshops and seminars led each year by TRI, including the annual External Advisory Board, Internal Advisory Board, Arkansas Lifespan Meeting, Research Day, and shared meetings such as the annual Open house held in collaboration with the Office of Research and Innovation; scheduling, facilitating, and collecting slide presentations for monthly Leadership Council and NIH Program Officer meetings and maintaining program records; tracking compliance with grant requirements and annual performance reporting; working closely with TRI’s communication staff to promote events and provide routine administrative tasks such as managing travel, calendars, and administrative support to the Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus (2) years of program and/or project management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook calendar management, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams; Zoom scheduling, and project management tools.
  • Strong communication skills written, verbal and listening.
  • Must be able to interact well with others one-on-one and as part of a team.
  • Experience in project or program leadership and management, with the ability to set priorities, maintain a high level of organization and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative for independent work.
  • Demonstrate attention to details, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
  • Must be able to read and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
