Reporting to the Director of Publishing Ethics and Conduct, the Associate Program Manager, Publishing Ethics, is responsible for establishing the requirements, resources, and plans necessary to address issues related to publishing ethics within the peer review process. This includes managing concerns such as plagiarism, manipulation of the peer review process, and the misuse of widely accepted bibliometrics. The Associate Program Manager, Publishing Ethics, will also manage reported cases of publishing misconduct using IEEE's centralized Ethics Point System. They will act as the case manager for investigations, overseeing cross-functional teams to ensure ethics cases are resolved, especially those that are large in scale. Additionally, they will serve as a subject matter expert on the violations of publishing policies outlined in the PSPB Operations Manual. Furthermore, the Associate Program Manager for Publishing Ethics will collaborate with volunteers and Publications staff to develop programs to prevent and detect misconduct, process cases, and create innovative methodologies that address the evolving challenges of editorial and research misconduct.
