The Department of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member to teach dissection-based Gross Anatomy as part of our integrated curricula for health care professionals and graduate students. This is an open track 12-month appointment with a rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience. Candidates must have a PhD in a related field and a strong record of relevant teaching experience, with a preference for 3 or more years of experience. The successful candidate will: Work closely with other anatomy faculty members as part of an interdisciplinary and inquiry-based health science curriculum that includes case-based and team-based learning. Work collaboratively to prepare cadaveric dissections and student lab activities. Instruct students in weekly lecture and lab sessions and facilitate multidisciplinary application-based learning exercises. Participate in the instruction of other anatomical sciences disciplines that are part of the departmental teaching portfolio, including histology, embryology and neuroanatomy. While this is an educator position, candidates are expected to engage in scholarly activity that includes collaborative research or the development of innovative teaching techniques, as well as participate in departmental and university committee service.
