About The Position

The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (WVU), an R1 research institution and AACSB-accredited college, invites applications for an Associate Professor position in Business Ethics. This full-time, tenure-track position is set to begin in August 2026. Position Description The successful candidate will: Deliver high quality instruction of business ethics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Conduct research with an emphasis on business ethics. Applicants for this position are expected to have an established, proven record of publishing their research in the highest-quality outlets in business ethics and a plan to continue publishing in such outlets. Actively contribute to departmental, college, and university initiatives in alignment with the college's mission. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of success in a department head, director, or equivalent leadership role. Play an active role in the Kendrick Center for an Ethical Economy. This position emphasizes teaching (50%25), service (30%25) and research (20%25).

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Philosophy.
  • Experience teaching business ethics courses.
  • Demonstrated expertise and continued potential for scholarly productivity and classroom excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in academic leadership roles.
