About The Position

Union College invites applications for one full-time, three-year visiting position, beginning September 1, 2026. Position description: We have a strong preference for candidates with demonstrated ability to teach Intro to Economics and electives in gender, health, economic history, labor, or marketing. We have some preferences for candidates who can teach Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics or Intro to Econometrics. About the Economics Department: Our teaching load is six courses over three ten-week terms, up to two of which may take the form of supervision of undergraduate theses. Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $83,000-$86,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
