About The Position

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Associate Product Manager to join our dynamic team in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development, analyze market trends, and contribute to the success of our product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, product management, engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in product management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of product management methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive product decisions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of user experience (UX) design principles
  • Knowledge of technology trends and product development lifecycle
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC product knowledge, and/or consumer goods industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in building trades such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or welding are favorably viewed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes North American HVAC market trends and potentials in cooperation with the different production sites worldwide.
  • Gather and synthesize product requirements based on customer, market, competitor insights and user data. Ensure these benefits are distinctively positioned to overcome real world customer problems.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, legal, marketing, manufacturing, customer support, operations, and external partners to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Work with product development teams (engineering, program management) to ensure hardware experiences are brought to market as specified.
  • Provide market summaries including trends, competitive landscape and regulatory updates.
  • Actively participates in the new product development projects through the phase gate release process, including being responsible to coordinate the market requirements, pricing, industrial design, product information and training.
  • Coordinates and/or completes marketing analysis on competitive products prior to development efforts to identify unique selling points, costs/pricing and technical specifications.
  • Thought leader for product innovation within the broader organization.
  • Some domestic and limited international travel may be required.
