About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and focused Product Owner to drive the delivery and migration of our planned roadmap First Responder Mobile and Handheld software products. This role will initially focus on collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to execute the software roadmap. A key responsibility will be collaborating with Customer Success teams by identifying and coordinating the migration of existing customers onto new platform products within the Motorola Solutions portfolio. Desired skills: Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to formulate a plan and drive its execution by effectively collaborating across functional teams (Engineering, Product, Services). Problem Solver: Proven ability to identify and manage competing requirements, objectively analyze diverse inputs, and break down complex problems to deliver measurable, impactful solutions across multiple team needs. Influential Communicator: Excellent ability to analyze complex data, draw clear conclusions, and communicate them effectively to different levels of the organization. Ability to bring the right experts together and support them in aligning with common goals and milestones. Drive & Initiative: A proactive attitude with a strong interest in learning the fundamentals of program management.

Requirements

  • BS in Product Management, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager with a working knowledge of agile software development and management best practices.
  • Understanding of various build environments and automated testing, and experience with Product management tools - Jira and Confluence is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.
  • Highly organized, structured, and process-oriented; team building skills a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • The candidate may be required to travel 20% of their time.
  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Work Suite, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
